From April 30 to May 4, the 7th Guangdong Children's Dance Championship was held at the Guangdong Arts?Theatre. A total of 210 dance works, including 188 presented by?new literature and art groups, competed for the title at the championship. The contest witnessed the performances of a wide range of dance categories such as Chinese classical, folk, hip-hop, and modern dances. Throbbing with the?pulse?of the?time, the dance works, with their varied themes and choreography, have given a new breath of life to Guangdong children’s dance. A considerable number of the entries for this year's championship were orchestrated with Lingnan elements and traditional Chinese culture, sparking a new creative trend.
